My Top 5 Games from 2011

The year 2011 has been an outstanding year for gaming therefore,  I have decided to put together a list for my favorite.

Number 5 : Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 - Now this may come to a surprise considering its position in my list. Personally, the series has been exciting since the very start of it. That being said, Modern Warfare 3 failed to get me hooked on it like previous titles have. Which is why the game has earned its place as number five.

Number 4 : Deus Ex Human Revolution - I do enjoy RPG titles from various publishers. Deus Ex has proved to me that the ability to make certain decisions in a game really boosts up the creativity and over all enjoyment of a title. I love the feeling of entering a building through the front door, dying, then trying again but to find another way to enter for example a vent. Moments like that make me enthusiastic to continue playing.

Number 3 :  Batman Arkham City - Ah, the Batman series. Ever since hearing about Rocksteady Studios making the game I have been in joy and Arkham City does not disappoint my expectations after playing through Arkham Asylum. Which is why it respectfully earns it’s place on number three.

Number 2 : Portal 2 -  Valve being my favorite game developer, I was quite curious and skeptical on what they could bring to the table after the original Portal. As expected, I wasn’t disappointed. The sequel offers a better story line, unexceptionably great voice actors and graphics that even a mid-range computer could run thanks  to the Source Engine.

Number 1 : The Elder Scrolls Skyrim -  What can I say of this masterpiece. Oblivion was one of my favorite games. I had more hours played in Oblivion than all of the Call of Duty’s combined. Which is why, Skyrim earns my number one spot for my favorite games in 2011. What a year.

My Mouse Problem Solved

A couple of days ago I was thinking to myself that perhaps the reason why my Apple Magic Mouse wasn’t syncing to my Bluetooth adapter is because of outdated drivers.

I was partially right. I did not have Windows SP1 installed. But this whole idea of installing SP1 seemed useless because my Apple Wireless keyboard paired perfectly without it. I installed it anyways. Unfortunately, I had to remove the older version on Windows to get SP1 to work. So that means that all my files, games, video’s are now gone. But to my surprise the Apple Magic Mouse paired perfectly with my PC. I am now trying to get used to this brand new mouse sitting on my desk.

Mouse Dilemma

Over the pass couple of days, I have been debating to get a new wireless mouse for my setup. Truth is, my Logitech G5 is doing great, the problem is it’s the only Wired product on my desk.

So I have been looking at a couples different mices.

1. Microsoft Arc or Touch Arc

2. Apple Magic Mouse

3. Logitech Performance Mouse

4. Razer Mamba

Still looking at reviews to make me wiser on my decision. Ill keep you posted.

Apple Keyboard Connectivity

I am currently typing on a Apple Wireless keyboard while on Windows 7. The misleading clerk at the Apple store who told me “There is no way I can get this working on a PC” really made me frustrated at their lack of knowledge and severe loyalty to the Apple brand. This however made me even more curious to try it out myself.

Ignorant people aside, I love this Apple keyboard. Compared to my last one, I can type a lot faster and my productivity has greatly improved. The price tag was around 70$, not too bad if you want a great keyboard. Although keep in mind if you computer doesn’t support Bluetooth (Mine) you will have to go buy a separate USB Bluetooth dongle at your local electronic store (Around 10-20$).

My desk thanks me for having one less cable on it.

Apple Wireless Keyboard over the Microsoft Arc?

A few hours ago I purchased a Apple Wireless keyboard for about 75$ Canadian. Now, the other choice I had was to buy the Microsoft Arc keyboard. After thinking about it for a while and posting Twitter questions (thank you for all who replied) I went with the Apple keyboard.

The keyboard is for my PC. Now I do understand it would be much simpler to get the Arc connected to Windows 7. However, the only thing I need to get the Apple device to work is a BlueTooth USB dongle (Fairly easy to find) they generally go for around 20$ around here.

That’s that. Thank you to all who gave me their opinions. I might show you in a future video how to do the same.

Are Blog Posts a Thing of the Past?

Some people might be thinking of starting a Tumblr. However, the lack of streaming video and use of modern technology might have them stray away. I believe that email will be in use for another 15 years. It has never been so easy to communicate a paragraph or two over the internet.

How do you feel about the evolution of technology? Do you think it might affect certain websites in the given future?
